Detailed plans in for more than 100 homes on South Yorkshire site
More than 100 homes could be constructed on a site in South Yorkshire under newly submitted plans.Avant Homes, supported by Johnson Mowat, has submitted a reserved matters application to Barnsley Council for an 8.9-acre agricultural site off Hay Green Lane in Birdwell.Planning permission is sought for a total of 114 homes, comprising two, three- and four-bedroom properties in a mix of detached, semi-detached and terraced units.Eleven homes would be designated as affordable housing.A network of greens is proposed as part of the development.A planning statement accompanying the application said the proposal represented a “high-quality, well designed and sustainable residential scheme”.It added that the proposed development “facilitates the continued growth and delivery of Birdwell”.Outline planning permission is in place for a development of up to 118 homes on the site. The new application seeks approval for details of scale, external appearance, landscaping and layout.
