Detailed plans in for more than 170 homes

Detailed plans have been lodged for the construction of more than 170 homes as part of a wider project in Coventry.Lioncourt Homes is seeking reserved matters approval to build 171 properties on land Thompsons Farm, Thompsons Lane.Outline planning permission for up to 500 units was secured last year. The application site forms part of the wider Keresley Sustainable Urban Extension (SUE), which is allocated for up to 3,100 homes.The newly submitted proposals comprise a mix of two- to five-bedroom units, 25 per cent of which would be allocated as affordable.Lioncourt Homes will provide the housing and associated infrastructure in two parcels, located to the east and south of a spine road.A statement filed with Coventry City Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The proposed development takes the form of housing set within a comprehensive network of green infrastructure.”This will help to create housing choice and is as closely integrated with the surroundings. The development respects the local character but also moves the community towards a sustainable future.”
