Detailed plans in for up to 210 homes
Detailed plans have been submitted for the construction of up to 210 homes on undeveloped land in Leicestershire.Persimmon Homes North Midlands is seeking reserved matters approval to develop land at Ashby Road West, Shepshed.The site comprises former agricultural land bordered by established trees and hedgerows.Proposals include two-, three- and four-bed properties, 20 per cent of which would be affordable, including a mix of social rent and intermediate units.Formal and informal open space would also be provided, which included an equipped children’s play area.A statement filed with Charnwood Borough Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The character of the development embodies the principles set out in the outline masterplan, with a balance between areas of more structured urban character versus more informal green edges, all arranged around a mix of formal and semi-natural open spaces and green infrastructure.”
