Details emerge on St Helens development
Plans to build almost 300 homes in St Helens have taken a step forward, with further light also being shed on the proposals.Outline proposals were backed in 2018 for up to 352 properties on a site at Linkway Distribution Park. The design and access statement drawn up at the time noted that the development would result in “significant private investment and job creation”.The masterplan was also designed to allow for the town to grow within its current boundaries in a “sympathetic and structured way” so that the scheme is immediately part of the neighbourhood.A reserved matters application has now been submitted to build 294 homes on the site. The documents accompanying the proposals note that the properties would be either three or four bedroom. There would be 111 three-bedrooms and 183 four-bedrooms with 17 different housing types. The application is with St Helens Council, with Bloor Homes and JLL attached to the project.
