Details revealed of major residential-led scheme
Details have been revealed of a proposed residential-led scheme aiming to provide almost 400 homes and new commercial space in Smethwick.Williams Gallagher, on behalf of Metropolitan Holdings (Birmingham) Ltd, has requested a screening opinion from Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.A letter to the council has revealed details of the proposed development, which would comprise a mixed-use building of between seven and 14 storeys on London Street.The building would provide 374 one-, two- and three-bed homes, as well as about 6,700 sq ft of commercial space.Plans also include parking provision of at least 83 per cent, including ten per cent as electric vehicle charging spaces.
