Developer in bid to build extra homes in Shepshed
A housing developer has submitted a new application to increase the number of dwellings it is building in Shepshed.Bloor Homes Ltd has applied to Charnwood Borough Council seeking permission to build 64 homes on land off Iveshead Road.The application also includes plans for associated infrastructure including highway and pedestrian access, open space and structural landscaping.The developer also recently submitted a full planning application for seven dwellings close to the proposed site, making a total of 71 homes off Iveshead Road.According to the council, the company first submitted a planning application to build 75 dwellings on the site back in 2012.During the Reserved Matters application, the number of dwellings was reduced to 71.The council says four of these dwellings have already been built but the developer has now decided it wants to increase the total number of dwellings on the site back up to 75.
