Developer outlines plans to build up to 230 homesKeyland Developments has launched its latest community consultation on its proposed Ellistones Gate scheme at Greetland, Calderdale, with a proposal to deliver up to 230 mixed-tenure homes.The land is already allocated in the Calderdale Local Plan as a site for delivering new homes.An outline planning application for the development is expected to be submitted later in spring 2025.Michael Powell, land and planning manager at Keyland, said: “We’re looking forward to inviting the community to discuss our outline proposals for Ellistones Gate during the consultation period, and we welcome their views.“Periods of engagement and consultation provide an opportunity for residents, and businesses, to help shape elements of a place and how it works for them.“We’re proud of the principles we have created for the scheme, which will deliver new homes to help address the housing crisis, provide jobs and economic growth, blue and green infrastructure, and public spaces for the community to relax and spend time in.”As part of the public consultation, a community drop-in event has been organised for 11 February from 2pm to 7pm, which will be held at Greetland Community and Sports Centre.Proposals are also available to view and respond to on a dedicated consultation website: ellistonesgateconsultation.co.uk
