Developer returns with plans for 614 apartments
The developer behind proposals to create a 1,000-bed student scheme within walking distance of Liverpool city centre has now lodged plans to build 614 apartments on the same site.Bevington Developments originally secured the go-ahead from Liverpool City Council’s planning committee for its full planning application to create 1,019 beds across four buildings up to 16 storeys high in April 2016.The land earmarked for regeneration lies within the Vauxhall area of Liverpool bounded by Bevington Bush to the west, a slip road to Kingsway Tunnel to the north, Scotland Road to the east and an adjacent residential development site to the west.Now the developer has returned with a full planning application to build 614 apartments across three towers rising nine storeys, 11 storeys and 17 storeys high on the same plot. The Falconer Chester Hall-designed scheme envisages 106 studio apartments, 382 one-bed apartments, and 126 two-bed apartments, as well as ground-floor commercial space, a gym, and 171 parking spaces.A planning statement in support of the application has been prepared by Zerum on behalf of Bevington Developments.Liverpool City Council has not yet set a date to consider the application.
