Education trusts unveil new £250 million framework for ICT goods and services
Two education trusts have set up a new, public sector wide procurement framework for ICT goods and services with a value estimated at up to £250 million.Academies Enterprise Trust, which oversees a number of secondary academies, and the Elliot Foundation Trust of primary academies, have set up the deal through the enFrame procurement body.Set to run for four years, the deal follows the organisations’ creation of a framework, valued at up to £500 million, for strategic partnering and support services earlier in the year.The contract notice for the new framework says it has 208 suppliers under 17 lots: strategic partnering services; hardware provision; audio visual; networking; wide area networking; servers and storage; hardware as a service; software; cloud services; management information systems; printing; telephony; built environment; support services; consultancy services; and further competition lots for each of the trusts.While highlighting the availability to schools and academy trusts, the notice also makes clear it can be used by other public sector bodies.enFrame is a community interest company that says it has a strong social value and net zero agenda.
