Electrical contractor to expand Edinburgh HQ with new funding

Edinburgh-based electrical contractor Ideal Electrical Solutions (UK) Limited has secured a funding package from Santander Business Banking to support the expansion of its headquarters in the capital.The firm has seen increased demand for its services and the new premises will allow for further growth.Set up in 2008 by Mark Denholm, IES has since grown into a team of six office staff and 14 electrical engineers. Its customer base has a solid range of clients from residential home owners, landlords and letting agents to residential and commercial developers. A recent project involved IES working on a significant renovation project for a 282-room hotel in the centre of Edinburgh.The funding from Santander Business Banking has allowed the team at IES to purchase a property adjacent to its offices. The additional space will provide more space for contractors and additional staff, and will also be used as an employee training centre and event space to host current and prospective clients.
