Engineering firm appointed to Doncaster Racecourse hotel
A structural engineering specialist has been appointed to work on the proposed Doncaster Racecourse hotel.TRP Consulting specialises in providing civil, structural and environmental engineering consultancy services.Work on the 154-room Hilton Garden Inn will start early this year and is scheduled to complete in the summer of 2018.The venue is designed to enhance Doncaster’s growing reputation for hosting conferences and will include a first-floor event space boasting extensive views over the historic racecourse.Arena Racing Company (ARC) believes the hotel will mark “a new era”.TRP has worked on leisure and sporting developments across the UK and was part of the team behind the new main stand at Doncaster Racecourse, which opened in 2007.The company joins a Doncaster Racecourse redevelopment consortium that also includes Arcadis, KKA Architecture and Troup Bywaters and Anders.
