Family homes planned for agricultural land
Dozens of family homes on agricultural land in Blackburn are set to get the thumbs up when planners meet later this week. Applethwaite Homes want to build 47 houses on a four-acre plot to the north of Ramsgreave Drive.A mix of three and four bedroom detached and semi-detached properties are proposed to provide “high quality” family homes.Of these, 23 will be three-bed and 24 four-bedroom homes. The site is allocated for housing led development as part of a wider allocation known as the North Blackburn Housing SitePlanning officials have recommended the plans are approved subject to an agreement under section 106. Blackburn with Darwen Council’s planning and highways committee will consider the application at a meeting on Thursday, 18 November.
