Final consultation into major mixed-use project starts

The final phase of a consultation into plans for up to 3,200 homes and almost 50 acres of employment space has started.City of Lincoln Council and Lindum Group are seeking the public’s comments on their proposed development of Western Growth Corridor.The planned scheme would also include a local centre with retail and commercial units, a new primary school as well as a sport and leisure complex with a new stadium, health and leisure facilities, a hotel and food and drink provision.Covering 593 acres to the north of Skellingthorpe Road, the Lincoln Western Growth Corridor is located close to the city centre.Public consultations and workshops are being held to update residents on the work that has been carried out to date and to provide further detail of flood and traffic mitigation strategies. They will run until 18 February.
