First home snapped up at landmark site
The first home has been acquired at Redrow’s Parc y Coleg site on the former University of South Wales campus in Caerleon.Two-hundred-and-nineteen new properties are being developed by Redrow with the first release now available to reserve, including a detached three-bedroom Warwick house type, three-bedroom Amberley and the four-bedroom Stratford. Further house types and apartments being released later this year.Redrow secured planning permission last year to develop the site.The approval paved the way for the conversion of the grade-II listed Edwardian building which features in Netflix’s hit series, Sex Education.This, plus its two lodges, also listed, and a further property within the site, will be restored and converted into 49 homes, alongside 170 new-builds.Redrow bought the site from the University of South Wales for £6.2m in July 2019.
