Former golf club acquisition paves way for more than 700 homes
Bloor Homes has acquired the 83-acre site of a former golf club to pave the way for a development of more than 700 homes.Bloor and North Worcestershire Golf Club have worked together over the last seven years to obtain planning permission for the redevelopment of the closed golf course to provide new family housing in Birmingham. The original planning application was initially rejected by Birmingham City Council, before Bloor Homes successfully appealed against the decision, obtaining permission to develop 715 homes, 35 per cent of which have been allocated as affordable.Harris Lamb’s planning team acted on behalf of the club and Bloor Homes.Jon White of Brookbanks Cost Consultants also acted on behalf of the club.
