Former quarry earmarked for holiday park scheme
A former quarry near Newport is to be transformed into a luxury holiday lodge park after being purchased by a hospitality and leisure developer.Penrhos Quarry in Caerleon, which has been snapped up by Actually Group for £1.5m, has planning permission for four lodges, 24 holiday pods, improved access, parking facilities, a maintenance building, and an administration office.Actually Group will now invest £3m to transform it into an upmarket holiday lodge destination, with work due to get underway in the coming months.
