Fresh consent eyed for 1,400-home scheme
Fresh consent could be given to build up to 1,400 new homes in Northampton next week.Land at Upton Lodge Farm in Weedon Road has been set aside for the proposed scheme which would also feature a mixed-use local centre including retail, healthcare and community facilities.A primary school and areas of public open space are also planned.Northampton Borough Council’s planning committee is set to meet virtually on Thursday 21 January to vote on the application. The proposal is being brought back to the committee, after previously having been approved, as the applicants are seeking to amend a number of conditions “to better reflect the intended phase delivery of the site and that the development of the site may be carried out by a number of developers”.
