Galliford Try pushes on with £100m Partington housing
Galliford Try Partnerships and Trafford Housing Trust have submitted plans for the first 148 homes at a former gas storage site in Partington as part of a wider £100m project which could feature 600 properties. The housebuilder and the housing trust formed a joint venture in November last year, and revealed proposals to build as many as 600 houses on site at Heath Farm Lane, which backs on to Carrington Moss, in a £100m development.Around 500 of these are to be made available for private sale under Galliford Try’s Linden Homes brand and Trafford Housing Trust’s brand Laurus homes, while a further 74 homes will be made available for shared ownership or affordable rent. The joint venture partners, under the name Heath Farm LLP, have now submitted a planning application for the first phase of the project, which will feature full remediation and clearance of the site alongside the construction of new homes.Advised by planner Barton Willmore, the hybrid application features full planning permission for a mix of 148 two, three, and four-bed homes, while the remaining 452 homes, alongside new public open space have been submitted for outline planning approval.
