G&H wins contract on Leeds landmark
G&H Building Services has secured a £2m contract to provide mechanical and electrical design and build works for the latest stage of Leeds City College’s regeneration.Appointed by Interserve, the support services and construction group which is the main contractor on the project, G&H Building Services will install services to Building 1A on the former Alf Cooke Printworks site – one of the most recognisable industrial landmarks in Leeds.It is the fifth phase G&H Building Services has overseen as part of the college’s overhaul of the Printworks Campus and follows on from works carried out by the company on Buildings 1B, 3, 4 and 5.Services to be designed and installed in Building 1A will include air conditioning, heating and domestic water services, a heat recovery unit centralised plant with ventilation systems, a building energy management system, small power and data, fire alarms, lighting and emergency lighting.Printworks 1A has received an £8.9m investment through the? Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership Growth Deal.
