Go-ahead for 125-home affordable housing development
A project to build 125 eco-friendly affordable homes in Linthwaite has been given the go-ahead.Casey has been granted permission to build on the site at the former Broad Oak Farm.The £22m project will be undertaken on behalf of Yorkshire Housing, which manages more than 18,000 affordable and social rent homes and is supported with Homes England Funding.Designed by TADW Architects, the development will include two-, three- and four-bedroom homes, as well as ten two-bedroom flats. They will be available for a mix of tenures including shared ownership, right to buy and affordable rent.Work is expected to start on the site later this year and is expected to be complete in 2025.
