Go-ahead for 90-home Teesside development
A scheme to build 90 homes on a site near Kirklevington is set to move forward after developer Banks Property won an appeal against its rejection by Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.The Durham-headquartered developer put forward proposals in 2016 for a new housing scheme on a 13.8-acre site to the south west of Kirklevington.Though the project had been recommended for approval by the council’s planning officers, members of its planning committee voted to reject the proposals in August 2017.Banks Property submitted an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate at the start of 2018 after examining the council’s reasoning, and has now won its backing.The company now plans to begin work developing the site as soon as possible.
