A reserved matters application for a Hartlepool housing development, part of a wider 1,200 homes scheme, has been approved by the council. The previous plan for the 162-home development was put forward by, and approved for, the applicant Story Homes. The new application replaced the approved house types with those of the current applicant Duchy Homes to reflect a change in housebuilder. The scheme will include all two-storey homes, 30 of which are three-bed with 105 four-bed and 27 five-bed. The application also proposed changes to the plot layouts and landscaping to accommodate the changes in homes. The 27.2-acre site where the homes will be located is primarily agricultural land with some ancillary outbuildings.
