Go-ahead given to Hebburn housing development
Proposals for almost 100 homes at the Hebburn Civic Centre site have been approved.The application, which was lodged with South Tyneside Council by Keepmoat Homes, consists of 91 houses, along with nine allocated for affordable rent/rent to buy through the developer.The 30,000 sq ft brownfield site on Campbell Park Road was previously home to a series of public buildings which have since been demolished.The land itself is currently allocated for a mix of uses including residential, employment, community and leisure.Approval has now been given to the proposed scheme, subject to conditions.
