Go-ahead recommended for industrial units
A development of industrial units in Wrexham could soon be built after plans received a positive recommendation.LVW Group is seeking permission for the construction of three light industrial units on land adjacent to its warehouse at Rhosddu Industrial Estate.Also included would be parking, cycle and waste collection facilities. An existing below ground 25,000 litre fuel storage tank is to be purged, removed from site with the area being backfilled and a new parking area for the existing unit formed over.Wrexham Council’s planning committee will consider the application on 5 February.A report for the committee said: “In conclusion, the proposal represents an appropriately scaled and designed development which would harmonise with its surroundings.”Access and parking is considered acceptable as is the foul drainage and ecology proposals subject to the imposition of planning conditions. There would not be an unacceptable impact upon the integrity of the SAC, nor upon adjacent living conditions. The proposal complies with the relevant planning policies and is subsequently recommended for approval.”Members have been recommended that permission be granted, subject to conditions.
