Go-ahead tipped for almost 200 homes

The go-ahead has been tipped for the development of almost 200 homes on an allocated residential site in Derbyshire.Bellway Homes East Midlands is seeking to go-ahead to build 189 properties within the residential allocation known as Broomy Farm in Swadlincote, which was formally arable land.The proposed development would consist of a mix of one, two, three and four-bedroom properties, with 57 of them allocated as affordable housing.Out of these 57 dwellings, 75 per cent would be for social rent and 25 per cent would be for shared ownership.The applicant has said that the scheme has the potential to create 294 construction jobs and 588 in the supply chain.
