Go-ahead tipped for major student development
Accommodation for more than 400 students could be constructed in Coventry after new plans were recommended for approval.Land at Spencer Sports and Social Club in Albany Road has been earmarked for the development.If given the go-ahead by Coventry City Council, a total of 55 student clusters and 55 self-contained studio apartments would be created, resulting in a total of 436 student bedrooms over buildings ranging up to six storeys.The proposals have been drawn up by Maber Architects but the council has redacted the name of the applicant.Its planning committee is set to vote on the plans at a meeting on Thursday 21 November.
