Goldman Sachs to fund construction of 42-storey tower

Wall Street giant Goldman Sachs has provided a £118m debt facility to fund the construction of a 42-storey residential tower which is being brought forward by Apache Capital Partners and Harrogate-based Moda Living.Planning was granted for the development at 212-223 Brofad Street, Birmingham in December 2017. The scheme is within walking distance of the city centre and proposed new HS2 terminal. The £184m development is being delivered by Apache Capital Partners, an institutionally-backed real estate investment business, and Moda Living, an owner, developer and operator of private rented housing and part of and construction giant Caddick Group.The 481-home project on Broad Street will feature about 31,000 sq ft of amenity space, including co-working areas, communal lounges and dining facilities, with a heavy focus on health and wellbeing.
