Green light for almost 70 new homes

The proposed development of almost 70 new homes in Broomhill, Northumberland, has received the green light.Persimmon Homes secured the approval from Northumberland County Council for the construction of 68 properties east of Guyzance Avenue.The scheme comprises a mix of two, three and four-bed homes, either two or two-and-half-storeys tall. Measuring approximately 6.5 acres, the application site is surrounded by agricultural land, lying to the east of Togston Village.The construction process is expected to create more than 32 direct full-time jobs, as well as 48 indirect jobs in the surrounding area.The residents are also set to bring a total gross housing expenditure of approximately £1.5m per annum, according to the applicant.
