Green light for creative hub and film studios plan
Plans for a new creative hub and film studio on a former RAF airfield in North Yorkshire have been given the go-ahead.Pegasus Group secured planning permission on behalf of Makin Enterprises to develop a creative hub on land at the former RAF Church Fenton. Selby District Council unanimously approved the plans on 3 April.The ‘Create Yorkshire’ facility will provide commercial space for a range of businesses in the creative industries on one built-for-purpose site, alongside permanently establishing television and film production.The site is already home to studio where parts of ITV drama series Victoria are filmed.Makin Enterprises took on the 450-acre former RAF Church Fenton aerodrome in December 2014.
