Green light for Crewe car park
Plans to build a multi-storey car park in the heart of Crewe have been approved.Cheshire East Council’s strategic planning board has granted permission for the development, which will provide 243 parking spaces across six storeys.It will be located to the rear of the listed Royal Hotel on Nantwich Road, celebrating the historical significance of the existing building while progressing a contemporary form of architecture.The development has been designed to contribute to the ongoing regeneration of Crewe, with the increased provision set to accommodate the existing need within the area as well as anticipated requirement from the arrival of HS2.CJCT is the appointed architect on the scheme, with SCP Transport acting as highways consultant, Virtual Planit as the architectural visualisation specialists and Miller Goodall as air quality consultants.
