Green light for Darlington resi scheme
Homes by Esh has secured planning permission to construct nearly 150 homes in Darlington.Hurworth Meadows will include 144 two, three and four-bedroom homes on a site near to the A66, just a five minutes’ drive from the town centre.The housebuilder is set to launch sales in 2024 and is targeting first-time buyers.As part of the scheme, each home will feature solar photovoltaic panels to generate electricity, an electric car charging point and smart heating controlsColin Willetts, deputy managing director at Homes by Esh, said: “Hurworth Meadows will offer the same quality standard of Homes by Esh properties which are high specification by design and will be ideal for those who are looking to purchase their first home as we plan to introduce specific deals marketed towards this demographic.”It is widely publicised that the cost-of-living crisis has made it even more difficult for first-time buyers, and we want to offer something different here at Hurworth Meadows so people can purchase an energy efficient home in a cost-effective way.”
