Green light for timber hardstanding area
Approval has been secured for the construction of a temporary access and hardstanding on land at Ysgiog Farm for the extraction of 10,000 tonnes of softwood timber from a commercial forest at Ysgiog Wood.The planning permission for the site, located on land at Ysgiog Farm about 4km south of Bluith Wells, was granted to Pontrilas Harvesting.The Hereford-headquartered timber harvesting and timber transport logistics group was assisted by planning consultancy Asbri Planning, engineering firm Bradley Associates and ecology business Ecological Services.Harvesting operations are set to begin in the spring of 2023.
