Plans for the latest phases of the Rossfield Park development in Ellesmere Port, which would comprise more than 200 homes, look set to advance. The scheme has come forward bit by bit since outline permission was granted in 2005 for 500 properties.Northstone Development – the regional housebuilder behind the project – submitted plans for the next phase late last year.Lined up are 218 homes and 24,111 sq ft of open space.A planning statement drawn up by Northstone notes that if backed, the proposals would help contribute to the supply of housing within Cheshire West and also represent a major inward investment.Jobs would be created, with additional expenditure in the local economy expected to hit £3.5m a year.Future phases of Rossfield Park have the scope to accommodate 260 properties. The application is set to go before Cheshire West and Chester Council’s planning committee meeting on 6 July, with a recommendation for approval.
