The green light has been secured for a new housing development set to provide almost 58 new homes in Longframlington, Northumberland.Tantallon Homes secured the approval from Northumberland County Council to construct new affordable homes aimed at local first-time buyers alongside executive housing. The landowner was originally given permission to develop 17 executive homes on the site known as Fairfields, but Tantallon Homes later revised the plans to include 34, two and three-bedroom starter and family homes, alongside 24 luxury properties.Although the Covid-19 lockdown means plans for a start-date on site remain unconfirmed, the developer hopes to begin work before the end of the year.Tantallon was supported with the site acquisition by senior associate Catherine Davies of law firm Sintons, who also dealt with the Section 106 planning agreement. Planning consultants Pegasus Group and architect Nicholson Nairn also worked on the project.
