Green light set for Belfast residential scheme
Plans to develop 31 social housing units in Belfast look set for approval.The scheme by Hargan Homes comprises 16 apartments and 15 townhouses with car parking on the corner of Woodstock Road in Belfast.The site is currently used by Holmes Motors and the adjacent car wash and valet centre.The development proposes a mix of three- and four-bedroom townhouses, alongside one- and two-bedroom apartments, including wheelchair accessible apartments.In terms of height, the townhouses will be two and a half storeys and will front onto the Woodstock and Beersbridge Road.The apartments will be in a three and a half storey block which has been located between both Woodstock and Beersbridge Road as a focal point for the development.Each house will have a front and rear garden and the apartments will benefit from private balcony areas and an internal public courtyard.The plans will go before Belfast planning committee today with the recommendation for approval.
