Green light tipped for major jobs and homes plans
More than 300 homes and hundreds of jobs could be created at a defence technology giant’s base in the West Midlands if plans to transform the site are approved next week.Up to 300,000 sq ft of commercial floorspace and 310 properties have been earmarked for the QinetiQ site off St Andrews Road, Malvern.A total of 451 jobs could be created if Malvern District Council’s planning committee approve two schemes at a meeting on Wednesday 22 May.The plans, which have both been recommended for approval by council officers, also include a 66-bed care home and the demolition of buildings.Square Bay, QinetiQ, Persimmon and Barchester Healthcare are behind the proposals for a total of 38 acres over the two plots.
