The current contract for Health and social work services in Dumfries is projected to end on 22/1/2018 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Health and social work services in Dumfries included the provision of outreach housing support services.The services will provide housing support for applicants who have applied to the Council as homeless and to whom the Council has a duty to provide such support under Section 32B of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987 as included by the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010 and the Housing Support Services (Homelessness) (Scotland) Regulations 2012 and to other homeless applicants where the Council agrees to provide housing support.The housing support will be provided to individuals who may be part of a homeless family, homeless couple or single homeless person within the contracted area. Providers will be required to have an understanding of and be able to deliver the contracted support to people who may have, for example, mental health needs, complex needs or exhibit offender behaviour.
