Historic building purchased
A historic building in Tredegar once home to the Tredegar Medical Aid Society has been purchased.The building, which was home to the organisation which provided Aneurin Beevan with the blueprint for the NHS, has been purchased by The Coalfields Regeneration Trust.The trust has raised £500,000 to convert the property into a heritage, education and training centre.The building will shortly undergo external and internal conservation and sensitive refurbishment, with plans to create a multi-use facility with ground floor heritage space which will promote the history of the NHS, Aneurin Bevan and Tredegar with complementary space for education, training and community use.
