Homes by Esh snaps up land in County Durham village
Homes by Esh has acquired a parcel of land six miles from Durham city centre, paving the way for a residential scheme. The housebuilder has snapped up the 7.5-acre site in Trimdon Village – off Salters Lane – which has been earmarked for housing, and benefits from existing planning permission.Known as Bluebell Gardens, the proposed development will include three and four-bedroom detached houses as well as two-bedroom bungalows – subject to an agreed amendment to the current planning permission.Open space will be maximised throughout the scheme, with properties set to benefit from larger gardens.Nick Bradshaw-Hughes, land manager at Homes by Esh, said: “This parcel of land is an ideal setting in a prime village location, just a two minute walk from local amenities. We have seen exceptional demand for our homes across our current sites in Darlington and Gateshead and are delighted to have the opportunity to deliver a range of properties in Trimdon Village that are high specification by design, greener and more economical than older homes.”We are a privately-owned housebuilder and pride ourselves on procuring a local supply chain – most of which being SMEs – that share our desire for excellence. When we bring forward sites for development, we want to positively impact the local area throughout the construction phase, by supporting local as well as on completion. We look forward to getting started.”
