Homes scheme set to advance
A detailed scheme for more than 50 homes at the site of a social club looks set to get the go-ahead.Watkin Jones Homes is seeking reserved matters approval for a development of 51 houses on land at the British Legion Social Club in Watts Dyke, Llay, Wrexham. The developer has already secured outline planning permission.Proposals comprise of 27 terraced homes, 14 semi-detached houses and ten detached properties.The development will comprise of five two-bed homes, four four-bed homes and 42 three-bed houses.Of the homes, 28 will be open market while 23 have been secured to be owned and managed by social housing provider Adra.Ahead of a meeting of Wrexham Council’s planning committee on Monday 26 July, officers have recommended that the plans are approved, subject to conditions.
