Housing and nursing home proposed for North Leeds site
Plans have been revealed for housing and a nursing home on a derelict site in North Leeds.Advent Developments is behind plans for the proposed redevelopment of a former school site and listed buildings between Tile Lane and East Moor Lane in Adel. A public consultation on the scheme has been launched.The listed buildings, comprising the historic quadrangle and Chapel, would be converted to provide 28 homes. A further 44 properties, including affordable homes, would also be built on the site.An 80-bed nursing home is proposed to help meet the under provision in the area.The scheme also includes landscaping and habitat improvements, as well as improved footpath links and protection of the greenbelt.The architect for the scheme is Leeds-based West and Machell and ID Planning is advising on the planning application, which is due to be submitted later this year.
