Housing provider makes 965-home pledge
County Durham-based Derwentside Homes has been allocated a £29.5m grant to support an ambitious construction programme which includes building 965 properties across the region.The money has been secured from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and will enable Prince Bishops Homes – the development arm of the not-for-profit registered housing provider – to build the dwellings over the next three years.The funding boost will also subsidise a new Rent to Buy scheme.Prince Bishops Homes is currently active on ten sites across the North East and has plans to invest more than £100m by 2019.
