The current contract for housing services in Wellingborough is projected to end on 25/07/2016 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for housing services included a complete internal auditservice which will:Assess audit needs and regularly update the analysis to ensure allrelevant risks are covered,Propose internal audit objectives for board approval,Prepare a detailed audit plan including timescale and projectedcompletion dates,Identify and evaluate key controls (including risk, review andmonitoring arrangements),Carry out compliance tests to determine whether the controls areworking,Report on whether value for money is being achieved,Report on ways of improving economy, efficiency and effectiveness of thehousing association’s activities,Issue findings and recommendations to the Audit Committee and tomanagers, incorporating responses and agreed action dates,Prepare an annual report and present it to the Audit Committee andsenior management,Confirm implementation of all accepted recommendations,Liaise with the external auditor to ensure that work complements that ofthe statutory audit,Attend meetings of the Audit Committee where requested.
