HQ building on Longbridge business park secures green light
An electronics manufacturer’s plans to build a headquarters and digital technology centre at Longbridge Business Park in a scheme expected to create more than 150 jobs has been green lit.Allsee Technologies is a specialist in digital advertising display manufacturing with an impressive blue chip client portfolio. It already has offices in the UK, Europe, China, the US and Africa.When complete, the new 80,000 sq ft Allsee headquarters, which represents a £20m investment, will provide a centre developing high-value digital display technologies.Birmingham City Council’s planning committee considered the application on 16 May.A report for the committee said: “The proposals would be a positive inward investment into the West Longbridge site and an opportunity to continue the expansion of the Regional Investment Site with a high-tech research and development/light industrial facility for Allsee Technologies Limited.”It would support the provision of high-quality employment opportunities.”Baoli Zhao, managing director at Allsee, said: “We are thrilled to embark on this journey of innovation and growth within the region, and we look forward to creating meaningful job opportunities while advancing digital display technologies.”Rob Flavell, senior director at St. Modwen, added: “This development not only adds to the momentum of Longbridge Business Park’s transformation but also underscores our commitment to fostering innovation and economic growth within the region.”We look forward to witnessing the positive impact this project will have on the local community and the broader West Midlands.”Upon completion, Longbridge Business Park is projected to create up to 5,000 jobs, supported by infrastructure investments in partnership with the West Midlands Combined Authority.
