Huge solar farm earmarked for Cheshire site
A site in Cheshire has been earmarked for a solar farm which has the potential to power thousands of homes.Pegasus Group has lodged plans on behalf of Renewable Connections Developments to create a solar farm on approximately 95 acres of agricultural land at Chads Farm, Barhill Drive, Tushingham in WhitchurchThe development would have an export capacity of 15 MW of renewable energy.It is expected to meet the energy needs of approximately 5,300 homes a year.The proposed development would export clean energy to the grid for a maximum of 40 years.The anticipated CO2 displacement is 7,500 tonnes per annum and 300,000 tonnes during the lifetime of the development.
