Hundreds of homes proposed in Warwickshire
Hundreds of homes could be built in Warwickshire as part of a wider mixed-use neighbourhood if newly submitted plans are approved.Tritax Symmetry is seeking outline approval to build up to 350 homes on land at London Road, Dunchurch.Extending to approximately 44.1 acres, the application is predominantly agricultural use and forms part of the residential element of the South West Rugby allocation, a neighbourhood of up to 5,000 homes. Most of the newly proposed dwellings will be in the form of family homes ranging from two-bed to five-bed units. It is intended that 30 per cent of the scheme be allocated as affordable.A statement filed with Rugby Borough Council on behalf of the applicant said: “The proposals will in no way compromise the delivery of the wider South West Rugby allocation.”On the contrary, they will ensure early delivery of critical road infrastructure that is essential to opening up the wider allocation for development, and will be planned and future proofed to ensure appropriate connectivity with the wider allocation.”
