Industrial units planned for Sheffield site
Plans have been lodged for a development of 20 industrial units on a site in Sheffield.7 Star Properties Ltd, supported by Stainton Planning, has submitted a full planning application to Sheffield City Council for a site to the north-east of Carwood Road in Attercliffe. The 1.4-acre site is located in an established industrial area but is currently overgrown.Planning permission is sought for the construction of 20 industrial units in two blocks, suitable for industrial and storage and distribution uses (B2, B8 and E(g)).The units would be built speculatively and have been designed to provide flexible business space in a range of sizes. The plans also include 43 parking spaces and space for the loading and unloading of vehicles.A statement submitted as part of the application said: “The site offers the opportunity to deliver 20 attractive and high-quality commercial units in two blocks, in keeping with other buildings in the locality.”It is considered that the proposed scheme would be a sustainable development that will deliver jobs in the area by providing businesses with the opportunity to locate and expand in Sheffield.”
