International rail services firm commits its future to South Yorkshire

Dutch-headquartered rail services provider Dual Inventive plans to create 32 jobs as part of its 10 year expansion plan after relocating to a new Doncaster business park.The company, which uses technology to make improvements and efficiencies in the rail network, has hugely increased its floor having moved from a 500 sq ft base in Doncaster to a new 18,000 sq ft unit at Kestrel Court development near Doncaster Sheffield Airport.The expansion has already created eight new jobs in Doncaster but predicted growth as a result of product demand means the company will grow to 40-strong in the near future.Dual Inventive, first opened UK base in 2009 and has a £10m turnover, manufacturing and selling hardware and software to increase rail capacity, plus offering service, maintenance and after sales packages.He added that the firm has set its sights on a rapid expansion over the next decade, as the firm is “looking to substantially grow” its share of the market.Plans for the new unit, leased for 10 years, include extended office and warehouse space, an indoor section of rail track, an employee gym, social spaces and an auditorium for product launches and training sessions.The units at Kestrel Court, developed by Marshall CDP and supported by Doncaster MBC’s Business Doncaster service, feature fitted office accommodation with good sized loading and car parking in a landscaped business park setting.Cllr Bill Mordue, Cabinet Member for Business, Skills and Economic Development at Doncaster Council, added that the council through Business Doncaster has “worked closely” with Jackson and the Dual Inventive team “following an introduction from The Department For International Trade” in order to find the ideal location within the town.
