1. Title: INVESTMENT OF LOCAL GROWTH FUND SKILLS FUNDING IN SPECIALIST EQUIPMENT TO TRANSFORM DIGITAL SKILLS IN CONSTRUCTION2. Awarding Authority: Cheshire and Warrington Enterprise Partnership (LEP), GB Email: pat.jackson@871candwep.co.uk / sarah.williams@871candwep.co.uk. Web: (Pat Jackson)3. Contract type: Supply contract4. Description: The Awarding Authority is offering to invest in specialist equipment to support a central hub and associated satellite facilities to support digitalisation in construction, including the nuclear sector across Cheshire and Warrington. The LEP expect to see a specific focus on Building Information Management (BIM) including use of software such as Tekla. We would expect this project will include the provision of satellite centres at geographical locations across Cheshire and Warrington linked into the central hub.The indicative budget is £260,000 for a central hub and associated satellites. Through this arrangement we want to encourage collaboration between training providers to ensure that they are able to build on their individual strengths, create centres of excellence and work together to inspire, innovate and do things differently, so that they deliver real change and are focussed on using digital to solve business problems and not just on delivering qualifications through a standard curriculum. In considering the bids the LEP will want to see evidence that the hub and satellites bring real added value by working together, including sharing equipment, expertise, project outputs and enabling access to centres of expertise for individual learners and local businesses right across the geography of Cheshire and Warrington. We want to understand the added value of the hub and each individual satellite.5.
