J S Wright awarded £1.6m build-to-rent development contract
Birmingham building services specialist J S Wright has secured a £1.6m contract to fit out a build-to-rent development in London.The mechanical and electrical services contractor will provide the mechanical services for the amenity spaces within two buildings at Nine Elms Parkside in Battersea.The amenities for the development, which is being built by Telford Homes for global rental housing developer Greystar, will include receptions and office space, together with residents’ gyms, lounges, bars, dining rooms and libraries.J S Wright, which is already working on a separate £20m mechanical services package for all 894 buy-to-let apartments within the two buildings for Telford Homes, will also provide two years of planned maintenance cover through its facilities management company, Wright Maintenance, as part of the package.Work on the 80-week project is set to begin on site in June 2021.Nine Elms Parkside is part of a new neighbourhood stretching from Battersea to Vauxhall that will eventually contain 20,000 homes as well as cultural, retail and business facilities.
